Dr. Rachel Kormos

Dr. Rachel Kormos is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist with a strong background in both medical science and clinical care. She graduated with an Honors Specialization in Medical Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2014, before pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she graduated in 2018.

During her training, Dr. Kormos completed extensive clinical rotations at leading healthcare institutions, including the University of Maryland Hospital and Boston Medical Center. These experiences allowed her to develop broad expertise in areas such as pediatric eye care, dry eye disease, glaucoma, specialty contact lenses, and retinal conditions.

Most recently, Dr. Kormos has been practicing in North Carolina, where she has focused on advancing care in dry eye management and myopia control—two of her particular clinical interests. She is deeply committed to a patient-centered approach, ensuring that each person receives personalized care tailored to their unique vision and health needs.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Kormos is passionate about health and wellness. She enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and staying active. She also loves cooking as a way to nourish both body and mind, and is an avid reader with a strong commitment to lifelong learning.
